L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) appointed Sam Mehta as president overseeing both the Space & Mission Systems and Communications & Spectrum Dominance segments, effective immediately.
Mehta will report directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Kubasik, alongside Ken Bedingfield, who leads the Missile Solutions segment. The company will continue reporting financial results for each of its three segments separately.
Mehta brings 25 years of leadership experience in the aerospace and defense industry. He previously led L3Harris' Communication Systems segment and assumed responsibility for the Space & Mission Systems segment earlier this year.
Jon Rambeau, the former president of Communications & Spectrum Dominance, departed the company to pursue external opportunities.
"Sam is a proven operator with a strong track record of delivering results," Kubasik stated in the press release. "I am confident he will drive further synergies across our business and operations."
The leadership change reinforces L3Harris' focus on execution, operational performance, and customer mission support, according to the company's announcement.
