Kroger names new leaders across key positions

The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) announced leadership changes across several key positions, according to a company statement.
Ed Oldham will join Kroger as Head of Sourcing on August 4. Oldham comes from PetSmart, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, overseeing distribution and transportation strategy across North America and managing 2,500 associates. He brings over 25 years of experience in retail, consumer packaged goods, and consulting, with previous roles at Petco, Walmart, Ernst & Young, and Walgreens.
Ann Reed, currently president of the Cincinnati-Dayton division, will become group vice president of Our Brands beginning August 4. Reed started her Kroger career as a co-manager in 1993 and has held various leadership positions including store manager, category manager, and division president roles in Louisville and Cincinnati-Dayton.
Jake Cannon will replace Reed as president of the Cincinnati-Dayton division starting August 1. Cannon currently serves as Louisville division president and has over 20 years of retail experience with Kroger, beginning as a Produce clerk in 1999. He has worked in various roles across operations, merchandising, and management.
Josh Harpole will succeed Cannon as Louisville division president. Harpole currently serves as vice president of Deli, Bakery and Prepared Foods and joined Kroger as a courtesy clerk in the King Soopers division in 1994. He has held multiple leadership positions including store manager, district manager, and vice president of Merchandising for the Louisville division.
"Sourcing plays a critical role in making sure we can provide lower prices to our customers every day," said Ron Sargent, Chairman and CEO of Kroger, regarding Oldham's appointment.
