KORU Medical Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: KRMD) announced that Chief Executive Officer Linda Tharby will retire effective June 30, 2026, after five years with the medical technology company. The board of directors appointed Adam Kalbermatten, currently chief commercial officer, as president and CEO, effective March 15 and July 1, 2026, respectively.
Tharby will remain on the board of directors and serve in an advisory capacity through the end of 2026 to support the leadership transition, according to the company's statement.
During Tharby's tenure, KORU Medical doubled its recurring patient base to over 55,000 patients, expanded internationally, and broadened its Freedom infusion platform beyond immunoglobulin to new drug classes. The company achieved consistent revenue growth and profitability under her leadership.
Kalbermatten joined KORU Medical in 2025 as chief commercial officer, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the medical device and pharmaceuticals industries. He previously served as vice president and general manager of Advanced Drug Delivery Systems at Becton Dickinson, where he led growth initiatives across the injectable drug delivery platform. Prior to that role, he served as CEO of ZebraSci, a drug device combination product development services provider, where he led a turnaround and growth strategy that resulted in the company's acquisition.
KORU Medical develops, manufactures, and commercializes large volume subcutaneous infusion solutions. The company's Freedom Syringe Infusion System received its first FDA clearance in 1994 and is used for self-administration by patients at home or delivery in ambulatory infusion centers by healthcare professionals.
