IQSTEL creates digital services subsidiary, names Jorge Becerra as CEO

IQSTEL Inc. (NASDAQ: IQST) announced the formation of IQSTEL Digital Services, a subsidiary focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, and digital health services. The company appointed Jorge Enrique Becerra as chief executive of the new unit.

The telecommunications company said the subsidiary will leverage its existing relationships with over 600 telecom operators worldwide, whose networks serve approximately 2.3 billion subscribers. IQSTEL plans to use these connections to distribute digital services including AI-powered communication services, cybersecurity solutions, fintech and payment services, and digital health devices.

Becerra brings more than 20 years of executive experience in telecommunications, advertising, media, and digital transformation across Latin America, Europe, and emerging markets. He has managed service portfolios reaching more than 100 million users and developed digital services businesses generating annual gross margins exceeding 40%, according to the company.

As part of his appointment, Becerra will participate as a minority co-owner of the subsidiary alongside IQSTEL. The company said this structure aligns leadership performance with shareholder value creation.

"I am thrilled to join IQSTEL at this pivotal moment," Becerra said. "By leveraging IQSTEL's powerful global telecom platform and relationships with over 600 operators, we will rapidly bring high-margin digital solutions to market."

IQSTEL CEO Leandro Iglesias stated the company's objective is "to rapidly achieve seven-digit annual revenue" through the digital services division while maximizing its potential reach to 2.3 billion end users through existing customers.

Becerra will join IQSTEL's executive team at International Telecoms Week, where he will meet with telecom operator customers to introduce the company's digital services portfolio alongside strategic partners Cycurion for cybersecurity and Reality Border for AI-powered communication services.
