H2O America (NASDAQ: HTO) announced the appointment of Michael Ambrozewicz as vice president of communications. Ambrozewicz will oversee the company's communications strategy, including corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement, brand management and change communications.
Ambrozewicz brings more than 20 years of communications experience to the water utility company. He most recently served as vice president of corporate communications at Albertsons Companies, where he worked with executive leadership and investor relations on business strategy articulation and reputation management. During his tenure at Albertsons, he helped develop an employer brand program that engaged 285,000 employees.
Prior to Albertsons, Ambrozewicz held communications leadership positions at AT&T and DIRECTV, where he managed executive positioning, public relations, social media strategy and employee communications. His background includes advising senior executives and leading communications for business and technology transformations.
Ambrozewicz has served on nonprofit boards and committees, including as a board member for the International Association of Business Communicators. He holds two bachelor's degrees from Loyola Marymount University, including a Bachelor of Business Administration in international business.
H2O America operates as one of the largest investor-owned water and wastewater utilities in the United States, serving over 1.6 million people through subsidiaries in California, Connecticut, Maine and Texas.
