FirstEnergy appoints Brooke Trammell as VP of transmission strategy

FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) appointed Brooke Trammell as Vice President, Transmission Strategy and Engagement, effective September 8, according to a company statement.
Trammell will oversee strategic planning, policy advocacy and strategic ventures to expand FirstEnergy's transmission portfolio. She will also lead the company's engagement with PJM and manage transmission strategic partnerships. Trammell will report to Mark Mroczynski, FirstEnergy President, Transmission.
Trammell joins FirstEnergy after more than a decade at Xcel Energy, where she most recently served as Regional Vice President of Regulatory & Pricing for Xcel's Southwestern Public Service Company. At Xcel Energy, which serves more than 3.7 million customers across eight states, she led development of cross-jurisdictional regulatory strategies and secured approvals for large-scale infrastructure proposals.
Her background includes experience in rates, policy, state and federal regulatory affairs, and customer relations across SPP, ERCOT and western markets. Earlier in her career, Trammell worked as a federal regulatory project manager and retail rates analyst with PNM Resources, Inc., now TXNM Energy.
Trammell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and a Master of Arts in Economics with a focus in Public Utility Regulation from New Mexico State University. She also earned a Master of Business Administration from West Texas A&M University and completed executive education in negotiation strategies at the University of St. Thomas.
FirstEnergy's electric distribution companies serve more than six million customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland and New York. The company's transmission subsidiaries operate approximately 24,000 miles of transmission lines connecting the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
