Fidelity Bank promotes Ruth Turkington to chief banking officer
Fidelity Bank announced the promotion of Ruth Turkington to Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer. The bank, based in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, made the announcement on May 13.
Turkington joined Fidelity Bank in May 2023 as Executive Vice President and Chief Consumer Banking Officer. She brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in banking, digital transformation, and client-focused strategy.
In her expanded role, Turkington will oversee Consumer Banking operations including Branch, Client Care Center and Digital channels, along with Residential Mortgage and Consumer Lending. Her responsibilities also include Marketing, Retail Learning and Development, and oversight of Deposit Operations and Digital Banking.
"Ruth's strategic approach to innovation, ability to foster strong relationships both internally and externally, unwavering integrity, and proven track record of success make her exceptionally well-suited for this role," said Daniel J. Santaniello, President and CEO of Fidelity Bank.
Turkington serves on the boards of St. Joseph's and NEPA Junior Achievement. Fidelity Bank operates 21 full-service offices throughout Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties in Pennsylvania, along with additional commercial and wealth management offices.
