FUJIFILM announces leadership changes in life sciences division
FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation announced leadership changes within its Life Sciences Group companies, according to a press release statement.
Tomoyuki Hasegawa will serve as CEO of FUJIFILM Biotechnologies California, a contract development and manufacturing organization for biologics and advanced therapies. Hasegawa will continue his roles as General Manager of Fujifilm Life Sciences Strategic Office and Chairman and CEO of FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, which develops and manufactures human-induced pluripotent stem cells.
Hasegawa has led FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics for four years and has been with Fujifilm for over 25 years in various leadership positions in Japan and the United States. The company recently opened a new headquarters and iPSC development facility in Madison, Wisconsin.
Delara Motlagh, Chief Operating Officer of FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, will also serve as President, adding oversight responsibilities for the business. Motlagh joined the company in April 2025 and brings more than 20 years of industry experience in life sciences and cell and gene therapy from previous positions at Catalent Pharma Solutions, Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, and Baxter Healthcare.
David Bolish was appointed Chief Operating Officer of FUJIFILM Biotechnologies California. Bolish has served as Site Head since 2018 and has more than 20 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and engineering.
"As one of Fujifilm's most experienced leaders, Tom, is positioned to align our cell therapy offerings across two complementary businesses," said Toshihisa Iida, director and corporate vice president of Life Sciences Strategy Headquarters at FUJIFILM Corporation.
FUJIFILM Biotechnologies California operates a cell therapy manufacturing facility in Thousand Oaks, California, while FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics specializes in iPSC-derived cells for drug discovery and cell therapy development services.
