Everest general counsel Ricardo Anzaldua to retire

Everest Group Ltd. (NYSE: EG) announced that Ricardo Anzaldua, executive vice president and general counsel, plans to retire in the coming months, according to a company statement.
The Bermuda-based reinsurance and insurance company has begun searching for Anzaldua's successor. He will continue serving as general counsel during the transition period.
Anzaldua joined Everest in June 2023 and serves on the company's Executive Leadership Team. During his tenure, he guided the company through corporate transactions and international business expansion initiatives.
"On behalf of the Board of Directors and Everest's leadership team, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Ricardo for his exceptional support and leadership," said Jim Williamson, Everest's president and CEO.
The retiring executive has spent three decades in legal roles across the regulatory, governance and legal sectors. Anzaldua stated he was "proud of our many achievements" and expressed confidence in the company's future success.
Everest provides property, casualty and specialty reinsurance and insurance solutions globally. The company's stock is included in the S&P 500 index.
