Douglas Elliman names Wendy Purvey chief strategy officer

Douglas Elliman Inc. (NYSE: DOUG) announced the appointment of Wendy S. Purvey as chief strategy officer, effective immediately. Purvey will lead strategic initiatives focused on growth and revenue generation for the residential real estate brokerage.

In her new role, Purvey will oversee mergers and acquisitions, international partnerships, ancillary services development, and agent retention optimization. She will collaborate with marketing, technology, operations, and human resources teams to align growth strategies and establish key performance indicators.

Purvey brings over 30 years of real estate industry experience, including involvement in more than 200 mergers and acquisitions. She previously worked as a strategic consultant for Douglas Elliman Florida, focusing on operations and recruitment for West Coast offices. Prior to that role, she served as chief marketing officer for the Sotheby's International Realty Brand, helping expand the brand to 900 offices across 70 countries and territories.

During her tenure at Sotheby's International Realty, Purvey contributed to 135,000 transaction sides and $100 billion in sales volume. She earned a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in 1986 and was named to Diversity Journal's "Women Worth Watching" list in 2014.

Douglas Elliman operates as one of the largest residential brokerage companies in the United States, with offices across multiple states including New York, Florida, California, Texas, and Colorado.
