April 30, 2026 4:07 PM EDT

Cue Biopharma, Inc. (NASDAQ: CUE) announced the appointment of Shao-Lee Lin, M.D., Ph.D., as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director. Lin will succeed Lucinda Warren, who served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.

Lin brings more than 25 years of biopharmaceutical leadership experience to the clinical-stage company. She previously founded and led ACELYRIN, a biotechnology company that went public within three years of incorporation at a valuation exceeding $2 billion. During her tenure, she secured over $1 billion in capital from investors.

Earlier in her career, Lin served as Chief Scientific Officer and Head of R&D at Horizon Therapeutics and held leadership roles at AbbVie, Gilead Sciences, and Amgen. She contributed to the development of approved medicines including TEPEZZA, SKYRIZI, and RINVOQ.

Cue Biopharma is developing therapeutic biologics to selectively engage and modulate disease-specific T cells for treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The company's lead autoimmune candidate, CUE-401, is advancing toward Phase 1 trials.

Lin stated the company will add an ongoing Phase 2 program to its pipeline, which will be detailed in a separate release. She indicated this program offers potential for "functional cure for allergic disease" and represents a "significant near-term inflection for the company within 2H2026."

Board Chairman Pasha Sarraf, M.D., Ph.D., said Lin's appointment underscores the board's focus on accelerating the company's strategy as it evolves into a clinical-stage company.

Lin holds an M.D. and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and biochemistry from Rice University.
