Cognex names new leadership team under CEO Matt Moschner

Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ: CGNX) announced the formation of a new executive leadership team under newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Matt Moschner, according to a company statement.

The industrial machine vision technology company outlined three strategic priorities: becoming the leading provider of AI technology for industrial machine vision applications, delivering enhanced customer experience, and doubling its served customer base over the next five years.

The leadership team consists entirely of internal promotions. Carl Gerst was named Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Products, responsible for global sales and product strategy. Dennis Fehr continues as Chief Financial Officer while expanding his role to include corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.

Sheila DiPalma was appointed Executive Vice President of Employee Services and Chief Culture Officer, overseeing employee services, culture, communications, and global real estate. Reto Wyss becomes Vice President of Vision Engineering, leading vision tools engineering and AI integration across products.

Shirin Saleem was named Vice President of Software Engineering to lead software engineering teams and build a cohesive product ecosystem. Richard Reuter serves as Senior Director of Hardware Engineering, designing AI-capable vision systems.

Mike Bowdoin was appointed Vice President of Operations, responsible for global operations and supply chain. Darren Long becomes Vice President of Customer Success, handling technical support and services. Mark Fennell continues as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary.

"Together, we will drive the Cognex profitable growth agenda, deliver even greater value to our customers, and invest boldly to strengthen our leadership in industrial machine vision."
