October 1, 2025 7:00 AM EDT

Climb Bio Inc. (NASDAQ: CLYM) appointed Susan Altschuller as chief financial officer, the clinical-stage biotechnology company announced. Altschuller brings over 20 years of strategic and financial leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical sector.

Altschuller previously served as CFO of Cerevel Therapeutics until its $8.7 billion acquisition by AbbVie. She also held the CFO position at ImmunoGen, supporting the company's first commercial launch. Her earlier roles included leading investor relations at Alexion and holding senior finance positions at Bioverativ, the hemophilia-focused spinoff from Biogen.

Altschuller holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Tulane University, a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. She currently serves as audit chair on the boards of Vestaron and Refeyn.

In connection with her appointment, Climb Bio granted Altschuller an inducement equity award consisting of stock options to purchase up to 600,000 shares of common stock. The exercise price equals the closing price of Climb Bio's common stock on October 1, 2025. The options vest over four years, with 25% vesting on the first anniversary of her start date and the remainder vesting monthly thereafter.

Climb Bio is developing therapeutics for immune-mediated diseases, including budoprutug, an anti-CD19 monoclonal antibody for B-cell mediated diseases, and CLYM116, an anti-APRIL monoclonal antibody for IgA nephropathy. The company expects to generate clinical data from both programs in the coming year.
