Charter Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) appointed Nick Jeffery as chief operating officer, the company announced. Jeffery will begin the role on September 1, 2026, and will be based in Stamford, Connecticut.

In his new position, Jeffery will oversee Marketing and Sales, Field Operations, and Customer Operations across Spectrum's residential and business services. He will report to Chris Winfrey, president and chief executive officer of Charter Communications.

Jeffery currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Frontier Communications, a position he has held since 2021. During his tenure at Frontier, the company emerged from bankruptcy and achieved what the company describes as sustained revenue growth and a 60-point improvement in its customer Net Promoter Score.

Before joining Frontier, Jeffery was chief executive officer of Vodafone UK starting in 2016. The press release states he led a turnaround that returned the company's UK operations to mobile and broadband revenue growth.

"Nick's leadership, growth mindset and operational expertise combined with his proven ability to improve customer service across residential, mobile, and B2B markets make him the ideal person to help accelerate Spectrum's next phase of growth," Winfrey said in the announcement.

Jeffery has more than three decades of executive experience in telecommunications markets. Charter operates services to 58 million homes and businesses across 41 states through its Spectrum brand.
