Carter Bank promotes two executives to senior vice president roles

Carter Bank (NASDAQ: CARE) announced the promotion of two employees to senior vice president positions. Andy Meece was promoted to Senior Vice President, Director of Strategy and Finance, while Charlie Sword was promoted to Senior Vice President, Controller.
Meece has worked at Carter Bank for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Senior Finance Officer. In his new role, he will help lead the execution of the bank's strategic and financial initiatives. Sword joined Carter Bank in 2020 as Senior Vice President, Director of Internal Audit and will now oversee the accounting department's daily operations.
"Andy and Charlie have truly proven themselves as outstanding leaders at Carter Bank, each playing a vital role in our growth and success," said Brad Langs, President and Chief Strategy Officer.
Wendy Bell, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, stated that the promotions reflect the employees' hard work and the respect they have earned across the bank.
The promotions come nearly one year after Carter Bank completed a rebrand. The Martinsville, Virginia-based community bank operates $4.8 billion in assets with branches in Virginia and North Carolina.
