CIBC announces senior leadership changes across business units

CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) announced senior executive leadership changes to its Group Executive Leadership Team, effective May 28, 2026, according to a company press release.
Susan Rimmer has been appointed Senior Executive Vice-President and Group Head, Commercial Banking, expanding her role to include Commercial Banking in both Canada and the U.S., as well as the Office of the CEO. She previously led Commercial Banking in Canada.
Eric Belanger has been named Senior Executive Vice-President and Group Head, Wealth Management, taking responsibility for wealth management operations in Canada and the U.S. His portfolio includes Global Asset Management, U.S. Private Wealth, Wood Gundy, Private Banking & Family Office, Investor's Edge, and CIBC Private Investment Counsel.
Kevin Li continues as Senior Executive Vice-President and Group Head, U.S. Region, and President and CEO of CIBC Bank USA.
In infrastructure changes, Christina Kramer, Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Administrative Officer, will transition to Special Advisor before leaving the bank on October 31 after a 40-year career with CIBC. Amy South has been appointed Senior Executive Vice-President, CAO and Chief of Staff, with oversight of CIBC Mellon and accountability for multiple operational areas including Business Enablement and Governance, Communications, and Infrastructure and Modernization.
Additional leadership adjustments include Richard Jardim adding Chief Security Office responsibilities to his technology role, Robert Sedran gaining oversight for Enterprise Transformation, and Stephen Scholtz expanding his mandate to include Corporate Governance and Sustainability.
The bank will restructure its financial reporting to four business segments: Canadian Personal and Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, and Capital Markets. CIBC expects to update segment reporting in the fourth quarter of 2026 and provide restated financial information before releasing Q4 results on December 3, 2026.
