CACI International names former Lockheed Martin executive as COO

CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) announced that Dr. Dave Young has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer John Mengucci.
Young most recently served as General Manager of National Security Space at Lockheed Martin, where he held profit-and-loss responsibility for a business with approximately $7 billion in annual revenue. In that role, he oversaw more than 250 defense and intelligence community programs and a workforce of more than 10,000 employees, managing satellite, satellite ground, and space warfighting portfolios.
Before Lockheed Martin, Young served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CAES, leading operations, engineering, advanced programs, business development, and strategy across a defense electronics business with more than $1 billion in revenue. He also held senior leadership roles at Northrop Grumman earlier in his career.
Mengucci said in a statement: "His operational discipline, strategic perspective, and leadership experience will strengthen how we execute, support growth, and build on our momentum for the opportunities ahead."
Young holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with bachelor's degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Physics from Clarkson University.
