Bloomin' Brands announces executive appointments to support turnaround

Bloomin' Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: BLMN) announced multiple senior leadership appointments aimed at supporting its business turnaround efforts, with a focus on the Outback Steakhouse brand.

Eric Christel will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer-Elect, transitioning to Chief Financial Officer on September 8, 2025. Christel previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Campbell's Company's Snacks Division and held leadership roles at PepsiCo from 2007 to 2020.

Current CFO Michael Healy will transition to a newly created role as Executive Vice President, Strategy & Transformation following Christel's appointment. Healy, a 16-year veteran of Bloomin' Brands, will lead strategic initiatives for the company's turnaround efforts.

Jessica Mitory will join as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer on August 11, 2025. She previously served as SVP, Global Total Rewards & Employee Experience at Advance Auto Parts and held positions with Pepsi Beverages North America.

Ali Charri was appointed Senior Vice President, Guest Insights and Analytics, effective immediately. Charri previously served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Insights at Darden Restaurants.

John Bettin will join as Senior Vice President, President of Bonefish Grill on September 2, 2025. Bettin previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Miller's Ale House and was CEO of The Palm Restaurant Group.

Mark Graff, the company's current EVP and President of Bonefish Grill and Fine Dining, will depart November 1, 2025.

Additional appointments include Rafael Sanchez as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Randy Scruggs promoted to Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, and Tara Kurian promoted to Senior Vice President, IR, FP&A, and International.

The company operates more than 1,450 restaurants across 46 states, Guam and 12 countries under brands including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
