BNSF Logistics names David Ivan as president and CEO
BNSF Logistics, LLC announced David Ivan has been appointed president and chief executive officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement.
Ivan brings more than 25 years of experience in operations across manufacturing, logistics, and global supply chains. He previously served as chief operating officer at BNSF Logistics and held the same position at Vestas, where he led transformations of multi-billion-dollar businesses.
"I'm excited to step into this new role at BNSF Logistics and to continue to work alongside such an exceptional team, focused on positioning us for long-term growth," Ivan said in the announcement.
His background includes scaling operations during growth periods, integrating acquisitions, restructuring cost bases, and implementing performance metrics across global teams. Ivan holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
BNSF Logistics operates as a subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe, LLC, which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. The company provides multi-modal, third-party logistics services and operates more than 40 offices throughout North America with over 120 global service providers for import and export operations worldwide.
