Amtech Systems names Guy Shechter as president and COO

Amtech Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: ASYS) appointed Guy Shechter as president and chief operating officer, effective May 19, 2026. The position is newly created and Shechter will report to the chief executive officer.

Shechter previously served as senior vice president and general manager at Yield Engineering Systems from 2021 to 2026. Before that, he held various leadership roles at Veeco Instruments from 2007 to 2020, including vice president and general manager of Global Services Solutions. He holds an MBA and bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

"Guy has held various commercial and general management roles with semiconductor equipment and advanced packaging equipment companies and has a proven track record of driving business growth and profitability," said Bob Daigle, Amtech's chief executive officer.

Amtech manufactures equipment and consumables for AI semiconductor device packaging and advanced substrate fabrication. The company sells products to semiconductor device and module manufacturers in Asia, North America and Europe.
