Agilent CFO Bob McMahon to step down July 31, interim named

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) announced that Chief Financial Officer Bob McMahon will step down from his role effective July 31. McMahon is relocating to the East Coast for family reasons and preparing for the next chapter in his career, according to a company statement.

Rodney Gonsalves, Agilent's current corporate controller and principal accounting officer, will serve as interim CFO until McMahon's successor is named. The Santa Clara, California-based company said it will conduct a global search for a permanent replacement with the support of an executive search firm.

"I want to sincerely thank Bob for his seven impactful years of service at Agilent. His leadership and contributions have played an important role in our company's growth, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors," said President and CEO Padraig McDonnell.

McDonnell expressed confidence in Gonsalves' leadership, noting his decades-long experience in senior finance-management roles at the company.

Agilent will release financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 after market close on August 27, 2025, followed by a conference call at 1:30 p.m. Pacific time. The company expects its third-quarter results to fall within previously provided guidance ranges.

The analytical and clinical laboratory technologies company generated revenue of $6.51 billion in fiscal year 2024 and employs approximately 18,000 people worldwide.
