374Water Inc. (NASDAQ: SCWO) announced the appointment of Daniel Bogar as president and chief executive officer, replacing interim CEO Stephen Jones. The cleantech company also added three new members to its board of directors.

The new board members are Brad Freels, chairman and CEO of Midway; Charles Weiser, a veteran company executive and CPA; and Stephen McKnight, a real estate investor and operating executive. They join existing directors Jim Pawloski and Marc Deshusses.

Bogar brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in finance, strategic business development, and international operations. He previously served as president and chief operating officer of PowerVerde Inc., which merged with 374Water in April 2021. Following the merger, Bogar oversaw corporate development and helped drive the company's global commercialization strategy.

Before PowerVerde, Bogar held CEO positions at American Green Technology and Stanford Group Company's broker-dealer, and served as president of the Americas at CellStar Corporation. He holds an MBA in finance from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University.

"My role was to stabilize the Company and focus the management team on execution - and that work is complete," said outgoing interim CEO Stephen Jones. "I believe the opportunity in front of 374Water is significant and requires decisive leadership and deep institutional knowledge which Mr. Bogar provides."

The leadership changes follow discussions with investors, including a group of long-term shareholders who filed a Schedule 13D. The board stated it is actively engaged in supporting additional capital formation to fund deployments and commercial expansion.

374Water develops supercritical water oxidation technology for destroying organic waste streams. The company's AirSCWO technology is designed to process hazardous and non-hazardous organic wastes.
