A federal court has denied class certification for direct purchaser plaintiffs in antitrust litigation against Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. (NASDAQ: KDP), according to a company statement.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled that plaintiffs in In re: Keurig Green Mountain Single-Serve Coffee Antitrust Litigation did not meet federal requirements to pursue their case on a classwide basis. The direct purchaser plaintiffs had sought more than $3 billion in classwide monetary damages.
The plaintiffs have filed a petition with the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to appeal the district court's decision.
The litigation is part of multidistrict antitrust litigation currently pending in the Southern District of New York. Keurig Dr Pepper stated it intends to continue defending against the direct purchaser plaintiffs' appeal and remaining lawsuits in the multidistrict litigation.
Additional information about the litigation can be found in Note 15 of the company's Form 10-Q filed on October 28, 2025, according to the statement.
