Britain's competition watchdog ordered Aramark Services (NYSE: ARMK) to sell offshore catering firm Entier following an investigation that found the merger would substantially harm competition for services to North Sea oil and gas platforms.
The U.S.-based food service and facilities provider must divest the company after the Competition and Markets Authority determined the acquisition would reduce competition in the offshore catering market serving oil and gas operations in the North Sea.
