Investing.com -- U.S. President Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio had "solved a tremendous problem in conjunction with Syria," without providing specific details about the nature of the resolution.
Trump made these remarks during an interview on Fox News’ "The Will Cain Show," just hours after speaking with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
The U.S. has been conducting diplomatic efforts to broker a lasting ceasefire and political resolution between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian government. The Syrian Democratic Forces were previously Washington’s primary ally in Syria, while al-Sharaa is now considered the U.S. government’s preferred partner in the country
