Investing.com -- Stellantis is negotiating with two potential partners for cooperation on its Maserati luxury brand, Chief Executive Antonio Filosa said today during a hearing at the Italian parliament.
The automaker will soon decide which partner to choose, Filosa added.
The CEO clarified that Maserati and the Cassino plant are not for sale, stating the company will pursue cooperation with a partner, similar to arrangements at other facilities.
Stellantis unveiled its new long-term business plan last month. Maserati will present its own strategy at a separate capital markets day in December.
Filosa also said the company will work with a partner in Cassino and Modena on Maserati. All partnerships will follow the same structure, with Stellantis holding a 51% stake.
The CEO said Stellantis is finalizing a deal with a partner for electric car manufacturing in Pomigliano. The company plans to produce at least two electric vehicle models at the Pomigliano facility, with hopes for a third model.
