Raytheon secures $352.6 million in defense contracts for missile systems

Investing.com -- Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTX) has been awarded multiple defense contracts totaling approximately $352.6 million for various missile systems and related services, according to U.S. Department of Defense announcements.

The largest award is a $160.9 million modification to a previously awarded contract for the AIM-9X missile program. This modification includes developing a second source solid rocket motor assembly and WDU-17/B warhead for AIM-9X production. The contract also covers the production and delivery of 126 AIM-9X-4 Block II Tactical Missiles, 32 missile containers, and 20 spare components for the Army.

Work under this contract will be performed across multiple locations including Tucson, Arizona (36.37%), Raufoss, Norway (35.19%), and several other sites. The project is expected to be completed by September 2029. The contract will support the Navy, Air Force, Army, Ukraine, and Foreign Military Sales customers.

Raytheon Technologies also received an $80.2 million modification for the Maritime Strike Tomahawk program. This contract supports continued development of seeker processor hardware and integration assets, including procurement of 8 Ultra 1.1+ units and updated processor stacks. The work, to be performed in Tucson, Arizona, is scheduled for completion by December 2027.

Additionally, Raytheon secured an $85.2 million contract for sustainment services for the MALD/MALD-J (ADM-160B/ADM-160C/C-1) systems. This indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract supports various aircraft platforms, with work to be performed in Tucson through September 2030.

The company was also awarded two contracts related to the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) program: a $14.6 million modification for design agent and engineering support, and an $11.6 million modification for spare parts procurement. These projects will be completed by March 2028 and June 2027, respectively.

The contracts were awarded by various military branches including Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Sea Systems Command, and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
