Northrop Grumman secures $67 million in Navy and Army contracts

Investing.com -- Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) Systems Corp. has been awarded multiple defense contracts totaling approximately $67 million for various military projects.
The largest award is a $44.5 million cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement. This contract will provide precision approach landing capability and engineering support for the E-2D aircraft, updating documentation and developing software modifications to enhance landing capabilities in contested environments for the Navy.
Work on this project will be distributed across multiple locations, with the largest portions in Liverpool, New York (37%), El Segundo, California (18%), and Melbourne, Florida (13%). The project is expected to be completed by August 2027, with $22.3 million in fiscal 2024 aircraft procurement funds already obligated.
In a separate award, Northrop Grumman received a $9.4 million cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to support E-2D Advanced Hawkeye transition efforts from production to sustainment. This work will primarily take place in Liverpool, New York (83.44%), with completion expected by April 2028.
Additionally, the company's Plymouth, Minnesota division secured a $13 million modification to an existing contract for Precision Guidance Kits for the Army. This modification brings the total contract value to approximately $1.49 billion, with work scheduled for completion by May 21, 2028.
The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland is the contracting activity for the Navy projects, while Army Contracting Command in Newark, New Jersey is overseeing the Army contract.
