Investing.com -- Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a $100 million contract from the U.S. Department of War for missile weapon systems development and production.
The Northridge, California-based company received the cost-reimbursement/firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract for work on the Stand-in Attack Weapon and Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range systems.
The contract covers efforts supporting the Stand-in Attack Weapon Middle Tier Acquisition and both production and research and development for Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range hardware. The scope includes design and development, systems engineering and integration, system modeling, qualification and testing, as well as repair capability for delivered test assets.
Work will be performed at Northridge, California, with completion expected by December 31, 2034. The Department noted this was a sole source acquisition, meaning Northrop Grumman was the only company considered for the contract.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is managing the contract. Initial funding includes $18,701 in fiscal 2025 research and development funds being obligated at the time of award.
