Northrop Grumman Secures $269M in U.S. Defense Contracts

Investing.com -- Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded two U.S. defense contracts totaling approximately $269 million, the Department of Defense announced Monday.
The company's Melbourne, Florida division received a $225,109,424 modification to an existing cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the E-130J training weapons systems program. The modification exercises options for the design, development, and delivery of training materials and courseware supporting the Navy's Take Charge and Move Out recapitalization program. The aircraft was previously designated E-XX before receiving its official designation.
Work under this contract will be distributed across three locations: Orlando, Florida will account for 64% of the work, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will handle 31%, and Melbourne, Florida will perform 5%. The Navy will obligate $54,904,255 in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award. The contract is expected to be completed in March 2027. Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland serves as the contracting activity.
Separately, Northrop Grumman's McLean, Virginia operation secured a $44,112,370 firm-fixed-price contract from the Defense Logistics Agency for B-1B AN/ALQ-161A Band Driver/Transmitters. The three-year contract, which has no option periods, will be funded through fiscal 2026 defense working capital funds and is scheduled for completion on March 1, 2029.
The second contract was awarded as a sole-source acquisition under 10 U.S. Code 3204 (a)(1). Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support in Warner Robins, Georgia is the contracting activity.
