Lockheed Martin secures $81 million in defense contracts for Aegis systems

Investing.com -- Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded multiple contracts totaling approximately $81 million for work on the Aegis combat and missile defense systems.

The U.S. Department of War awarded Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems a $22.7 million cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to a previously awarded contract for in-service AEGIS sustainment, fielding and product documentation. This work will be performed in Moorestown, New Jersey, with completion expected by December 2025.

In a separate award, Lockheed Martin Corp. received a $44.1 million sole-source contract modification for the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Weapon Systems. This modification extends current contract line items for up to four months and continues implementation of Integrated Air and Missile Defense capabilities into the Aegis BMD Weapon Systems design for Aegis Guam System. The work will be performed in Moorestown, New Jersey, and Guam, with completion scheduled for April 2026.

Additionally, Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems secured a $14.2 million modification to provide continued Aegis BMD Combat Systems Engineering Agent contract support. This extension covers development, integration, testing, and delivery of Aegis Weapon system capability over a seven-month period from September 2025 through March 2026.

The funding for these contracts comes primarily from fiscal 2025 Navy operations and maintenance funds, as well as research, development, test and evaluation funds. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., and the Missile Defense Agency in Dahlgren, Virginia, are the contracting activities for these awards.
