Lockheed Martin (LMT) awarded $29.4 million contract modification for MUOS

Investing.com -- Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a $29.4 million contract modification for work on the Mobile User Objective System Service Life Extension (MUOS SLE) program.
The modification, designated as P00014, adds to a previously awarded contract and will fund risk reduction and design activities for MUOS SLE Phase I before the program enters Phase II. With this addition, the total cumulative value of the contract rises to $95.4 million.
Work will be performed at Lockheed Martin's facility in Sunnyvale, California, with completion expected by August 1, 2026.
The Space Systems Command at Los Angeles Air Force Base in California is overseeing the contract. The U.S. government is obligating $10 million in fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of the modification award.
