L3 Technologies wins $466 million night vision device contract

Investing.com -- L3 Technologies Inc. (NYSE: LHX) of Londonderry, New Hampshire, has been awarded a $465,993,977 firm-fixed-price contract by the U.S. Department of War for the development, production and testing of the Binocular Night Observation Device.
The contract was awarded Friday following an internet-based solicitation that received six bids. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order under the agreement, which has an estimated completion date of Feb. 27, 2033. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity under designation W91CRB-26-D-A007.
In a separate award announced Friday, L3 Technologies Inc. of Herndon, Virginia, along with L3 Harris Maritime Services Inc. of Norfolk, Virginia, and Sea Wrench LLC of Bedford, New Hampshire, received indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity firm-fixed-price contracts to provide engine room control system maintenance and repair onboard Military Sealift Command vessels.
The three companies will share a combined ceiling of $49,000,000 and will compete for individual firm-fixed-price orders. The contracts include a five-year ordering period and one six-month option period. Work will be performed on a worldwide basis beginning Friday and ending Aug. 26, 2031, if the option is exercised.
The procurement utilized other than full and open competition and was solicited via the Government Point of Entry website, receiving four offers. Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
