September 18, 2025 5:20 PM EDT

Investing.com -- Johnson Control (NYSE: JCI) Navy Systems LLC has been awarded a $155,980,424 contract by the U.S. Department of Defense for air conditioning equipment for the Navy.

The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers 350-ton high efficiency super capacity air conditioning chiller plants, backfit kits, auxiliary components, and related materials.

The York, Pennsylvania-based company will perform the work at its facilities in York, with completion expected by September 2028.

The contract includes an option that would increase its total value to $197,225,022 if exercised.

At the time of the award on September 12, the Navy obligated $95,678,001 in fiscal 2025 other procurement funds, representing 61% of the contract value. These funds will not expire at the end of the 2025 fiscal year.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division, is serving as the contracting activity. The contract was not competitively procured as Johnson Control Navy Systems was determined to be the only responsible source that could satisfy the agency's requirements, in accordance with U.S. procurement regulations.
