Investing.com -- Johnson Control (NYSE: JCI) Navy Systems LLC of York, Pennsylvania has been awarded a $112,448,082 contract to provide 350-ton high efficiency super capacity air conditioning chiller plants, auxiliary components, and related materials to the U.S. Navy.
The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes an option that would increase the total value to $202,336,474 if exercised.
Work on the contract will be performed in York, Pennsylvania and is expected to be completed by September 2028.
The Navy has already allocated $19,052,592 in fiscal 2025 other procurement funds for the initial award. These funds will not expire at the end of the 2025 fiscal year.
The contract was not competitively procured and was awarded through SAM.gov under provisions of 10 U.S. Code 3204(a)(1), which allows for non-competitive procurement when only one responsible source exists and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is serving as the contracting activity. The contract, numbered N64498-25-D-4018, was officially awarded on September 18.
