General Dynamics, Premier Precision win $334 million Army contract

Investing.com -- The U.S. Department of War has awarded a $333,935,744 firm-fixed-price contract to General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) Ordnance & Tactical Systems of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and Premier Precision Machining of Falconer, New York, for the procurement of 120mm mortar shell bodies.

The two companies will compete for each order under the contract, which has an estimated completion date of September 23, 2030. The Army Contracting Command in Newark, New Jersey, which solicited bids via the internet and received four responses, is serving as the contracting activity.

Work locations and funding details will be determined with each order placed under the contract.

In a separate development, General Dynamics OTS of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, received a $15 million modification to an existing contract for 155mm artillery M795 metal part assemblies. This modification increases the total cumulative value of the contract to $906,165,000.

The estimated completion date for this contract is February 28, 2026. As with the mortar shell contract, work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with the Army Contracting Command in Newark, New Jersey, serving as the contracting activity.
