Coinbase launches stock trading for all US users with 24/5 access

February 24, 2026 9:57 AM EST

Coinbase Global Inc. (NASDAQ: COIN) has made stock trading available to all users in the United States, allowing customers to trade stocks and exchange-traded funds 24 hours a day, five days a week alongside cryptocurrency holdings.

The platform offers zero-commission trading with fractional shares available for purchases starting at $1. Users can fund trades using USD and USDC, with Coinbase One members earning rewards on their USDC trading balance.

As part of the launch, Coinbase partnered with Yahoo Finance to enable users to move directly from asset research on Yahoo Finance to trade execution on Coinbase. The integration allows traders to discover and track assets within the Yahoo Finance interface.

The company stated it is starting with leading market equities and plans to expand 24/5 trading to additional stocks in coming months. Coinbase also indicated plans to broaden stock perpetuals this spring, which would allow traders outside the US to access US equities exposure around the clock.

The platform combines traditional stock trading with cryptocurrency services in a single account and application. Looking forward, Coinbase stated it plans to offer tokenized stocks and enable users to leverage equity holdings as on-chain collateral for payments.

The information comes from a company press release statement announcing the stock trading feature expansion.
