Tesla (TSLA) Up Following Successful Falcon 9 Launch (SCTY)

Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) shares are positive Monday as sentiment from CEO Elon Musk's other project hits the stock.
Over the weekend, Musk's Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) launched its Falcon 9 rocket from California. The rocket held a small Canadian science satellite called Cassiope in its nose cone.
On the launch, Musk commented to Reuters,
Tesla is up 1.6 percent Monday while SolarCity (Nasdaq: SCTY), which Musk chairs, is just about flat.

It went better than expected. It was incredibly smooth.Musk is focused on creating a way to get the Falcon's first-stage rocket to land safely so the company can recover the motors, which are about 75 percent of the cost of a rocket.
Tesla is up 1.6 percent Monday while SolarCity (Nasdaq: SCTY), which Musk chairs, is just about flat.
