Merrill Lynch (MER), Bank of America (BAC) Talking About Merging

September 14, 2008 4:38 PM EDT
The WSJ just reported that Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) and Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER) are in merger talks. These talks are arising as Wall Street is trying to sort out the potential liquidation of investment bank, Lehman Brothers (NYSE: LEH).

As I reported earlier, Bank of America was considering to possibly buy Lehman, but when those talks failed, Bank of America turned its focus to Merrill Lynch. Tomorrow should make for an interesting day of trading.
