On Monday afternoon explosions rocked the Boston Marathon. The tragedy sent the S&P 500, which was already under pressure, to session lows. The S&P 500 closed down 2.3 percent, the DOW finished lower by 1.8 percent, and the NASDAQ closed lower by 2.4 percent.
Fears about terrorism sent shock waves through the market, leading to a drop in airline stocks such as US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC), Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL), and United Continental Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: UAL).
Traders say investors may soon turn their attention to terror related stock such as OSI Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: OSIS), Magal Security Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: Nasdaq: MAGS), and American Science & Engineering Inc. (Nasdaq: ASEI).
