Cramer Screams 'Sell Half of Netflix (NFLX)!'; Shares React

December 2, 2010 10:33 AM EST
Jim Cramer's at it again, and this time his target is Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX).

Yesterday, Cramer recommended that investors should sell half of their Netflix holdings.

He said that it didn't matter how much he liked them. He does. It doesn't matter if he thinks the stock will go higher. It might.

Crames said that he has always talked about "ringing the register" when you have a double. In this case, he said buy when the stock hit $102.79, and it has nearly doubled since then.

If you sell half now, you're paying with the houses money, he touted, saying that you are now unable to lose money in your position.

He pounded the table to sell, saying, "bulls make money, bears make money, pigs—they get slaughtered. If you do not take anything off on this one you are most definitely a hog." Cramer reduced his rating from Buy to Hold.

On the news, shares of Netflix are 4% lower this morning.
