3-D Printers Chug Higher Amid Positive News, Upgrades (SSYS) (DDD) (XONE)

Shares of 3-D printing companies have been on the rise over the last two sessions, led by a strong upgrade on Stratasys (Nasdaq: SSYS) to Buy by Canaccord on Tuesday.
3D Systems (NYSE: DDD), meanwhile, is looking to extend a three-session rally Wednesday, announcing the addition of SolidWorks 3D CAD solution provider Hawk Ridge to its reseller network earlier.
3D Systems is up 12.9 percent since closing at $30.75 on April 4th, while Stratasys is up 14.1 percent from a close at $68.33 on April 8th. Recent IPO The ExOne Co. (Nasdaq: XONE) has popped 9.4 percent higher over the last two-session, closing at $29.77 also on April 8th.
Shart interest rose on the companies through the end of March. Latest market data pegs 3D Systems with current short interest of 26.55 million shares, or 31.3 percent of float. Stratasys saw an 18 percent jump in its short interest through the end of March, to 4.14 million shares, or 15.2 percent of float.
