IPO for Russian e-Commerce Firm Ozon (OZON) Opens 41% Higher

Today's IPO for Russian e-commerce firm Ozon (NASDAQ: OZON) opened for trading at $42.30 after pricing 33,000,000 American Depositary Shares ("ADSs") representing 33,000,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of $30 per ADS.

The offering is being led by Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, UBS, Sber CIB, VTB Capital, and RenCap.

Ezon had approximately 11.4 million active buyers in Russia in the twelve months ended September 30, 2020.

The Russian e-commerce market, which grew by 41% in the nine months ended September 30, 2020 as compared to the same period in 2019, and compared to 29% in the year ended December 31, 2019 and 22% in the year ended December 31, 2018.

GMV incl. services grew by 142% in the nine months ended September 30, 2020, as compared to in the same period in 2019, supported, to some extent, by the government imposed social-distancing measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to 93% in the year ended December 31, 2019 and 74% in the same period in 2018.
