Spyre Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: SYRE) announced it expects six proof-of-concept readouts from its clinical trials in 2026, with the first results beginning in the second quarter.
The company's SKYLINE platform trial in ulcerative colitis is recruiting faster than anticipated, with enrollment for SPY001 completed ahead of schedule. Part A readouts are now expected to start in Q2 2026, earlier than previously planned. The trial is testing SPY001, SPY002, SPY003, and combinations of these long-acting antibodies in patients with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis.
The SKYWAY basket trial is enrolling patients across rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and axial spondyloarthritis conditions. All three readouts from this trial testing SPY072 are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Spyre appointed Kate Tansey Chevlen as Chief Commercial Officer. Tansey Chevlen previously served as VP, Global Marketing Head for Immunology and Inflammation at Amgen, where she held senior leadership roles across marketing, sales, and market access.
The company reported a pro forma cash balance of $783 million as of September 30, 2025, which includes $486.2 million in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities plus $296.5 million in net proceeds from an October 2025 public offering. Spyre stated this balance is anticipated to provide cash runway into the second half of 2028.
CEO Cameron Turtle said the company plans to initiate late-stage development in 2027. The trials are designed to evaluate treatments for inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatic diseases.
