Robinhood reports July trading volumes, assets grow

Robinhood Markets Inc. (NASDAQ: HOOD) reported monthly operating data for July 2025, showing growth across key metrics including customer assets and trading volumes.

The company's funded customers reached 26.7 million at the end of July, up 160,000 from June and 2.5 million year-over-year. Total platform assets increased to $298 billion, representing a 7% monthly increase and 106% year-over-year growth.

Net deposits totaled $6.4 billion in July, with the company reporting a 28% annualized growth rate relative to June platform assets. Over the last twelve months, net deposits reached $60.1 billion.

Trading activity showed increases across multiple categories. Equity notional trading volumes were $209.1 billion, up 17% from June and 100% year-over-year. Options contracts traded reached 195.8 million, rising 16% monthly and 22% annually.

Cryptocurrency trading volumes demonstrated significant growth. Robinhood App crypto notional trading volumes totaled $16.8 billion, up 110% from June and 217% year-over-year. Bitstamp Exchange crypto notional trading volumes were $11.9 billion, increasing 78% from June.

Margin balances at the end of July were $11.4 billion, up 20% monthly and 111% year-over-year. Total cash sweep balances reached $33.6 billion, rising 3% from June and 54% annually.

Securities lending revenue for July was $61 million, up 13% from June and 190% year-over-year. The data presented is unaudited and preliminary, according to the company's statement.
