Profusa Inc. (NASDAQ: PFSA) outlined its growth strategy and provided a business update following its public market debut on July 14, 2025. The Berkeley-based digital health company develops continuous biochemistry monitoring technology through tissue-integrated sensors.

CEO Ben Hwang detailed five strategic pillars in a shareholder letter: revenue growth and pipeline development, AI infrastructure development, clinical and regulatory pathways, financial structure and strategies, and scale of operations.

The company reported progress toward generating revenue from research-only applications of its technology platform. Profusa is developing its pipeline through research collaborations for indications including lactate, carbon dioxide, sodium, and ethanol monitoring.

For tissue oxygen monitoring, Profusa holds CE mark approval and is advancing toward a European launch of its Lumee platform. The company announced its first distributor partner in Spain, targeting a Q1 2026 commercial launch in Europe. Profusa estimates a $10 billion global addressable market for tissue oxygen biochemistry monitoring across peripheral artery disease, chronic wounds, and critical limb ischemia.

The company plans to conduct a pivotal clinical study for U.S. market entry concurrent with its EU commercial launch, followed by an FDA submission in mid-2026 and anticipated U.S. commercialization in mid-2027.

For continuous glucose monitoring, Profusa expects human validation data from two European Union clinical sites and two Asia-Pacific sites to be published in a peer-reviewed journal. The company anticipates human pivotal studies to begin in late 2026, with commercialization targeted for mid-2027.

Profusa secured a $100 million equity line of credit facility and implemented what it describes as a strategic treasury plan utilizing digital investment. The company is expanding its operating capabilities to support its growth plans.
