Nutex Health Inc. (NASDAQ: NUTX) reported preliminary third-quarter metrics showing an 11.1% increase in patient volume and a 258.8% surge in cash collections compared to the same period in 2024, according to a company statement.
The Houston-based healthcare company, which operates 24 micro hospitals and hospital outpatient departments across 11 states, recorded an estimated 46,293 patient visits in the third quarter of 2025, up from 41,668 in the prior year period. Cash collections reached $235 million, compared to $65.5 million in the third quarter of 2024.
For the nine-month period ending September 30, 2025, patient volume increased 14% to 140,135 visits, while cash collections rose 176.9% to $546 million compared to the same period in 2024.
The company noted that these preliminary metrics are management estimates subject to change and should not substitute for actual financial results. Final metrics may differ materially due to accounting adjustments and independent auditor review.
Nutex Health faces ongoing compliance challenges with Nasdaq listing requirements. The company's audit committee determined in August that investors should no longer rely on previously issued financial statements for the first quarter of 2025 and year-end 2024 due to errors in accounting treatment of non-cash obligations related to earn-out arrangements from a 2022 merger.
Nasdaq granted the company an extension until December 12, 2025, to file its delinquent Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2025. The company anticipates filing both its second-quarter and third-quarter 2025 reports by that deadline.
Nutex Health operates through two divisions: a Hospital Division with 24 facilities and a Population Health Management Division that manages physician networks and provides administrative support services.
