Mazda North America reports 32.6% October sales decline

Mazda North American Operations reported October sales of 25,161 vehicles, representing a 32.6% decrease compared to October 2024, according to the company's monthly sales report.
Year-to-date sales reached 344,825 vehicles, down 1.7% from the same period last year. The October decline occurred despite having 27 selling days, the same number as the prior year period.
Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales provided a contrast, totaling 6,177 units in October, an increase of 2.5% compared to October 2024. Year-to-date CPO sales reached 62,700 vehicles, up 0.3% from the previous year.
The CX-50 model achieved what the company described as its second-best October performance with 8,351 vehicles sold during the month.
Mazda's Canadian operations showed different results, with October sales of 6,815 vehicles representing a 0.1% increase over the prior year. Year-to-date Canadian sales totaled 70,832 vehicles, up 14.3% compared to the same period last year.
In Mexico, Mazda Motor de Mexico reported October sales of 9,282 vehicles, an increase of 10% year-over-year. Mexican year-to-date sales reached 84,351 vehicles, representing a 9% increase compared to the previous year.
