MBX Biosciences to present pipeline updates at JP Morgan conference

MBX Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ: MBX) announced it will present at the 44th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco on January 13, 2026, at 3:45 pm PT. The clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company will provide updates on its clinical programs, obesity pipeline, and 2026 outlook during the presentation.

The company reported that its Phase 2 Avail trial for once-weekly canvuparatide in chronic hypoparathyroidism achieved its primary endpoint. MBX plans to share full 12-week dataset results and one-year follow-up data at a medical conference in the second quarter of 2026. The company scheduled an FDA End-of-Phase 2 meeting for the first quarter of 2026 and expects to initiate its Phase 3 confirmatory trial in the third quarter of 2026.

MBX 4291, a GLP-1/GIP co-agonist prodrug designed for potential once-monthly dosing, continues Phase 1 evaluation. The company expects 12-week multiple ascending dose data in the fourth quarter of 2026. MBX plans to expand its obesity portfolio with two additional candidates in 2026, including an amycretin prodrug and a GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptor prodrug candidate, with nominations expected in the second and third quarters of 2026.

Results from the ongoing Phase 2a STEADI trial of once-weekly imapextide for post-bariatric hypoglycemia are expected in the second quarter of 2026. The company reported preliminary unaudited cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of approximately $373.7 million as of December 31, 2025, which it expects will fund operations into 2029.
