HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: HIVE) reported 290% year-over-year hashrate growth for January 2026, according to a company statement released February 5.

The cryptocurrency mining company produced 297 bitcoin in January, representing a 191% increase from 102 bitcoin produced in the same month last year. Average daily production reached 9.6 bitcoin per day.

HIVE's hashrate averaged 22.2 exahash per second during January, peaking at 23.7 exahash per second, compared to 5.7 exahash per second in January 2025. The company maintained above 2% of the global bitcoin network hashrate.

The San Antonio-based company operates mining facilities across Canada, Sweden and Paraguay, totaling 440 megawatts of renewable energy capacity. An additional 100 megawatts of contracted renewable energy is scheduled for deployment in the third quarter of 2026.

HIVE completed cashless exercises of 480 bitcoin tied to its 2025 bitcoin pledge, realizing approximately $7.4 million in value at an average of $102,000 per bitcoin. Proceeds funded the purchase of 2,667 Bitmain S21 XP ASIC miners, which are being installed at the company's Paraguay facility this week.

The new miners will increase HIVE's installed global hashrate to 25.5 exahash per second and improve fleet efficiency to 17 joules per terahash, according to the company.

"Our operational performance reflects years of focused investment in renewable energy, high-efficiency hardware, and a decentralized global team," said Aydin Kilic, president and chief executive officer.

Founded in 2017, HIVE operates bitcoin mining and data center infrastructure powered by renewable energy sources.
